"Do you consider yourself an optimist?"
Bucky laughed, but his therapist kept looking at him. "Is that a joke?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?"
"I spent most of my life in suspended animation, with nothing but nightmares to occupy my mind."
She smiled, humorlessly. "That's not an answer."
"What does it matter? I'm here, I'm alive. That's all that matters." She said nothing, and he shifted, nervously.
"You keep checking your phone."
"So?"
"I know you don't have any friends. So whose text are you waiting for?"
"I'm..."
"He came back before."
Bucky glared at her, and walked out.
