A ruthless prosecutor who'd do anything for a conviction. That's what he has become.
He doesn't even hesitate before forcing out his witnesses' deepest, darkest personal secrets. Many would happily switch places with the defendant.
When he introduced the little smug, cynical brat as a child in tender years and demanded I only cross-examine him gently, I thought it yet another trick of his, engineered to secure victory.
Then I found out what happened, back in fourth grade. And suddenly understood why he was so cautious about interrogating a child witness.
I tried to apologise.
"Something important, Wright? I'm working."
When trying to translate some of my drabbles into English, I noticed they were always way too long. So, up for a bigger challenge - write one in the wordy language straight away.
