Love and thanks to my husband who never blinks at, and paitently entertains questions like "so you know history - in Jerusalem around year 30 CE, what were the streets like?"
It was so easy to want to believe, here in the golden afternoon. Jerusalem's cobbled streets shone like the light in his eyes; the gleam in his smile. Of course he was divine. Of course he was the son of God.
Of course everything would be all right.
Judas fell to the side of the crowd, still keeping a watchful eye. They had only been here a few minutes, and trouble would come, as it always did.
Mary was easy to dismiss; a carefree spirit. Young. Naive. But right here, right now, Judas felt the bitter truth: He envied her.

I am broken or what? Like... I have not listened to any version of JCS this Easter. What the hell is wrong with me? :D Thanks for this reminder.
Poor old Judas... Awesome drabble.

I've grown to love it, and the role of Judas particularly, more and more in recent years. Tim Minchin's portrayal was inspired IMO. Thank you!
Tim Minchin was gorgeous!
