“No meat today,” says the sales girl, shrugging apologetically. Olga nods and leaves. She knows there is meat - just not for people like her. She snatches the last can of soup from an empty shelf, nearly wrestles a hungry man for half-rotten vegetables.
It’s like being on a diet, she imagines. Her mom told her about diets - when she was young, most people had food. Often too much.
Nowadays, only important people get to eat their fill. Crops are dwindling. Olga and her likes are disposable, unimportant. So they “diet”. Except dieting isn’t supposed to make you die, is it?

Myslíš? No, s trochou snahy a trochou klasické "YA dystopian novel" romance možná... :) Každopádně díky za komentář!
